Hostel Review: Lisbon Destination Hostel

Lisbon is often thought to be one of Europe’s most underrated cities and it’s only recently started to get on the radars of more travelers! This city is filled with beauty, history, culture, and the cool street cars you’ve probably seen on Pinterest. When doing my hostel research before visiting, I saw some photos of the the Destination Hostels chain and  knew I had to stay at one!

Destination Hostels

They have three hostels in the city:
Alfama Patio, Sunset Destination Hostel, and Lisbon Destination Hostel, which is the location I stayed at.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with this place. It’s located inside the train station which is a beautiful space on its own. The staff were super friendly and ready to help us with whatever we needed, which is a great way to be welcomed after being exhausted from travel!

The interior was one of the most beautiful of any hostel I’ve visited. The place is covered in plants, has a huge glass roof, hammocks, comfy chairs, and pretty much everything to make you want to never leave this place! There’s also a pool table and ping pong table in the common area which is a great way to make some friends 🙂

To no surprise, the rooms were also beautiful and super clean! If you’ve spent any time at hostels you know that this can be hard to come by, and I’m always thankful to have a clean room and comfortable bed after a long day of exploring a new city.

The hostel is also located in the center of town and has beautiful views of the city that we couldn’t stop looking at!

One of the great parts about staying at a Destination Hostel is it gives you access to any of the three in town. Each of them are unique and host various activities that you might want to join in if your hostel isn’t hosting one that night! Our first night, the Sunset Destination Hostel was having an affordable dinner that we decided to stop by and I’m not kidding you – it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Not to mention it was a great way to meet new friends who weren’t staying at our hostel!
